Teddybear's teaparty

Two nursery policemen and a fireman practise their skills!

The children enjoy a game of matching.

Nursery's Colour Party
As a finale to their Colour and Pattern topic, Nursery held a colour party.  They dressed in a spectrum of colour and their beautifully coloured clothes made a stunning rainbow.

They had great fun throughout the morning, playing games. They took  brightly coloured balloons outside and some of them made very loud bangs as they burst, making everyone jump!  As a speciall treat one of the Nursery mummies made some scrummy rainbow cakes for us to eat.

Robert Robot & The Dark Den

Nursery welcome the arrival of a new member to their class - Robert Robot!  The children have great fun instructing Robert, by remote, to dance, talk, stand on guard, flash his eyes and when he has had enough, he goes to sleep!  He is very obedient.

 Robert the Robot

Instructing Robert by remote is great fun!

The children of Nursery see things in a different light when they crawl into their 'Dark Den'!  The 'Dark Den' is an area where the children can explore the dark with torches and a special rope light.

SHIVER ME TIMBERS! HAVE WE PIRATES IN TRANSITION?

'AHOY ME HEARTIES!'

Arrh, we had a swashbucklin time on Friday 14th November.  Dressed as pirates, we entered a world of caves and buried treasure.  We played pirate games, hunted for treasure, painted pirate pictures and listend to poems and stories about life on the high seas.

What a busy and fun time it was.  By the end of the day we were very relieved to return to dry land and leave grog and ship's biscuits behind!

PIZZA TIME!
Transition have once again been learning where pizza comes from and how it is made.

What a treat they had when they visited Zizzi's pizza restaurant.  On arrival each child was given a balloon and there was great excitement as they sat at their table and watched the pizza chef shape the dough - he even tossed it in the air!  The waiting staff were very impressed with the manners of the children and said how polite they were.  The food was 'yummy'.  Everyone enjoyed making and eating pizza.  As well as visiting Zizzi's to make pizza we had great fun making pizza in the classroom too.

ECO Friendly Transition!
The children of Transition class have become very eco conscious.  Where possible they now use both sides of a sheet of paper and they recycle their waste paper into special recycling sacks.

They have now gone one step further and into the paper making Business!  The children have been making their own paper.  They had great fun cutting the waste paper into small pieces, soaking it and then sieving, rolling and drying it until they produced a beautiful new sheet of paper that Smythson of Bond Street would be proud of!
