BOTTLE TOPS FOR 'WHIZZ KIDZ'
PLEASE SAVE YOUR PLASTIC MILK BOTTLE TOPS - ALL COLOURS!
The Granville School are working to save enough milk bottle tops to exchange at the recycling plant for money to buy specially adapted tricycles for disabled children.
A tricycle costs approximately £400. 80 bags of bottle tops are worth £25, so a HUGE number of tops are required!
The bottle tops are of a superior plastic and are recycled to make outdoor play equipment. Because the tops are recycled they are not going to landfill. It is therefore a very worthy cause all round. Please support us.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
By saving your plastic tops (please ensure they are clean) and encourage other people, schools, organisations etc to do so as well. S P R E A D THE WORD !

Great news! Chartwell House exceeded their target of £500 for a specially adapted tricycle for Whizz-Kidz children. They raised an amazing £617.51 from their Easter Fayre, Cake Sale and Design an Egg Competition. A cheque for this amount was presented in assembly in June.
There were a large number of entries for the 'Design an Egg competition'. These are but a few of the eggsciting, eggsamples of eggsceedingly eggscellent egg designs!

Chartwell's Easter Fayre was held on 20th March and raised an amazing £785 for Demelza House Children's Hospice (this sum includes the collection at the Spring Festival).
Chartwell girls brought in lots of delicious cakes to sell, many with an Easter theme and the girls devised some very enjoyable games and quizzes. The cake sale raised a good part of the money and further funds were raised from the raffle (over 400 tickets were sold), picture colouring, poetry and design a coaster competitions, guess the number of blocks in the chocolate bar and how many mini eggs in a jar and guess the names of the Easter chick and the Easter rabbit.
Thanks go to all Chartwell staff and girls for their hard work organising the Fayre and to the parents (from Chartwell and other houses too) who helped with cake making and the provision of prizes. Thanks to everyone who so generously donated on Spring Festival Day which boosted our final total.
