History
History of The Granville
The Granville School was founded by Miss Ena Makin on VE Day, 8th May 1945. The dove of peace and Churchill’s victory sign were chosen to form the school crest.

The school moved from Granville Road to Bradbourne Park Road, Sevenoaks in 1957, when Miss Makin’s niece, Miss Maureen Froggatt took over as headmistress.

When Miss Froggatt retired, Mrs Jane Evans was appointed Headmistress in 1990 and was head of The Granville for almost 19 years until her retirement in 2008.

The present Headmistress, Mrs Jane Scott, was appointed in 2008, the fourth holder of the post.

The School has been a Charitable Trust since 1960. The Ena Makin Charitable Trust Ltd. (Reg. No. 865624) is registered as a charity and is run by its Board of Trustees and Governors.
