Our educational mission is to realise the full potential of every child by developing knowledge, confidence and self-reliance within a supportive and happy school community. The school is set in 5 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland close to Sevenoaks station and the town. The school is an educational charitable trust which is administered by a board of governors and trustees. The Headmistress is a member of IAPS (Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools).

Miss Makin, our Founder, established a school that has a very special quality. We have high expectations and a consistent record of achievement with all abilities. There is a genuinely warm family atmosphere at The Granville. There is a real sense of belonging. We have many daughters of former pupils and believe that this is a clear indication that the school has been able to keep its traditional atmosphere whilst moving forward innovatively in its approach to the curriculum.
