Year 5 had a great day at Carroty Wood on 10th October , with beautiful weather they enjoyed outdoor activities all day! Set in fifty eight acres of woodland the girls experienced archery, abseiling and team building activities.
First up was the team building activities, they are designed to help develop communication skills, build confidence and get the group working as a team. The girls were divided into small groups and attempted a number of different challenges. Not all the challenges were successful but it was really interesting how the girls coped with physical and mental tasks.
Later on in the day the girls experienced archery and abseiling.
During the archery session the girls split into two teams and competed against one another to score the most amount of points.
Abseiling tested the girls nerves over two different height walls.
