Year 1 and 2 delighted us with their beautiful story telling of ‘The Elves and the Shoemaker’ on the morning of December 2nd. I was so impressed with how each and every one of the girls performed their roles with such relish and professionalism and it was a credit to them all that the final performance was such a wonderful success.
It was no easy task to remember lines, songs, dances and direction but the girls made it look easy. I couldn’t have been prouder. My thanks must extend to the elftastic Mr Whiting and the beautiful set, Mrs Dorey and Mrs Hughes for the fabulous props and shoes, Mrs Allaway for the wonderful hats and costume adjustments and to Mrs Eastwood for her fantastic work with the children on the songs. Miss Wilson must also be thanked for the dancing in the show stopper that was “Blue Suede Shoes”. Thank you to all the staff at The Granville who helped so much with this play and to all the Year 1 and 2 parents for making the girls time on the play a Christmas memory to be cherished. It was exciting to watch how thrilled they were with their achievement.
Congratulations to all the girls and a Merry Christmas to all. Watch out for those cheeky elves girls!….
