At Granville we value all children and support their individual learning needs to ensure they become confident, independent learners who reach their personal potential.
Our SENCo (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) is a qualified dyslexia specialist teacher and has the National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination. The SENCo works closely with parents and teaching staff to ensure children’s individual needs are met. All children benefit from high quality classroom teaching with differentiation of levels of adult support, resources, and expected outcomes. When a child needs additional support, we offer a variety of interventions, including 1:1 and small group tuition for English and Maths, Sensory Circuits, Drawing and Talking Therapy, Lego Therapy and Early Years sound awareness support in preparation for acquiring literacy skills. The SENCo also co-ordinates and liaises with external professionals.
