Last year, in their Science lessons, Year 5 and Year 6 helped out the Royal Society. They carefully looked at five top Science books for children, and gave them scores based on important aspects such as how informative and well-presented the books are.
They decided ‘Home Lab’ by Robert Winston was our Granville winner and when all the results from other schools were collected in, the Royal Society agreed! Some of our girls have even read the book at home to try out some of the amazing Science experiments in it.
The Year 6 girls were this week given certificates for being such excellent judges and even more excitingly have learnt they are, on Thursday March 8th, going to have the opportunity to hear a talk by the author himself, Robert Winston, on a school trip (more information to follow for Year 6’s later this term).
