U9 Netball v Russell House

U9 Netball v Russell House

The Granville U9 A, B and C teams faced Russell House’s A and B teams.  As we have more teams we decided to play one extra match and on this occasion this allowed our B team to play an additional game.

Granville A v Russell House A
Granville played a really strong match today with all team players performing with energy and gusto.  The girls displayed some brilliant netball that flowed well and they attacked with force.  A fantastic game from all the team.

FINAL SCORE…..Granville WIN 9 -0

Granville B v Russell House B
The B team played some very impressive netball against Russell House today.  We were by far the stronger side and this showed especially in our ability to dodge with conviction.  We were able to get into space to receive the ball well and this allowed our attack to dominate.  A very good game to watch which highlighted the progress made by all girls this year.

FINAL SCORE…..Granville WIN 6 – 0

Granville C v Russell House B
This was set to be a bit of a challenge for our C team as we faced a more experienced Russell House B team.  However, The Granville girls did not disappoint as they worked tirelessly to overcome the tough challenge.  Granville displayed some strong passing and good defending to keep the ball out of the oppositions shooting circle.  It was a close game, however, Granville had the upper hand on this occasion.  Well done girls!

FINAL SCORE……Granville WIN 4 – 2

Granville B v Russell House A

Granville B team faced tough opposition as they took on Russell House’s A team.  Granville girls struggled to find their form in the first half of the match and were a little overwhelmed by the speed of the Russell House passing.  We had much work to do in defence and our attackers had little chance to try and shoot.  However, after a few changes in position for the second half, we steadied ourselves and settled much better into play.  We defended with determination and were able to get the ball down to our attackers for further chances at goal.  Granville managed to score one goal and only concede two in a much better second half.

FINAL SCORE…..Russell House WIN 7 -1
