School trips and workshops run by visiting specialists are an important part of school life, providing pupils with an opportunity to learn first-hand and to reinforce class work. Places visited are chosen carefully to complement the curriculum and make learning more fun and interesting.
Day Trips
From kindergarten onwards, all classes will have two or three trips per year. Places visited include the theatre, a garden centre, wildlife centres, Eagle Heights Bird of Prey Centre, Chiddingstone Castle, Dover Museum, Carroty Wood Adventure Centre, London Coliseum and Wimbledon Tennis Centre.
Residential Trips
Trips that always prove to be very popular with the girls in Years 4, 5 & 6 are the residential visits. Trips for Years 4 and 5 are based within the UK whilst Year 6 head off to France. These trips promote teamwork, cement friendships, and enhance independence and confidence in our girls.
Workshops
We have visits to the school from best-selling children’s book authors, theatre workshops, Florence Nightingale and storytellers, to renowned practising artists who work with the girls on their art.
