Registration and Enrolment of New Pupils – Charges and Deposit

• Parents are required to complete and return a Registration Form along with a non-refundable registration fee £120 including VAT, to apply for a place at The Granville School.
• Once a place has been offered a £1,000 deposit is required to secure the place; this is offset against the child’s final invoice. Please note that cancellation of a reserved place will forfeit the deposit.
• Early Years Only: Parents should inform the Registrar at time of registration should they wish to only access the 15 hours Free Early Education. Registration fees are not charged where ONLY the 15 hours’ Free Early Education place is taken; however, a deposit of £1,000 is still required but will be refunded within 6 weeks of taking up the place. Please note that cancellation of a reserved place will forfeit the deposit.
• Early Years Only: If the child increases from accessing only the Free Early Education space to full morning or all-day sessions the registration and deposit will become due and payable immediately.
• Fees and other charges are payable in full by single direct debit on the first day of each term. The School does not operate a monthly direct debit system.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2026/2027 – SCHEDULE OF FEES 

Pre-School Fees are VAT Exempt.

Tuition Fees for Reception to Year 6 are subject to VAT at 20%, or at the rate prevailing at the time.

All relevant Fees include VAT, lunch, breaktime snacks, swimming & other sport coaching activities, and Pupils’ Personal Accident Insurance.

Payment Terms

• Fees and other charges are payable in full by direct debit or Bank Transfer on the first day of each term*.
• The School has a Late Fee Payment Policy. Where fees are not paid on the first day of the Term, the School will follow a 6-stage reminder process that includes statutory debt recovery steps leading to a County Court claim, debt recovery and the exclusion of the pupil from the end of the half term or full term, whichever is the earlier.
• An interest charge of 3 percent per annum above the Bank of England base rate will be applied on any late payment of fees and any extras, that remain outstanding 15 days from the start of the Term, the interest will be charged from the first day the fees were due.
• Unless otherwise notified to you in writing, this interest shall accrue on a daily basis from the due date until the date of actual payment of the overdue amount, whether before or after judgment. You must pay the School the interest together with the overdue amount and any debt recovery costs.
• A full term’s notice in writing addressed to the Headmistress must be given in the event of a pupil being withdrawn from the School or from extra subjects. Otherwise, a full term’s fees will be payable in lieu whenever a full term’s notice is not given.
• Parents who wish to make advance payment of tuition fees for a set number of future terms, are advised to read the School’s advance fee policy terms and conditions under the Fees section of the School’s website.
• The School is mindful that families can encounter life changing events that impact their financial situation. Please contact the School at the earliest opportunity if you are experiencing financial hardship. All enquiries of this nature will be treated in the strictest confidence. *The School reserves the right to exclude from the School any child for whom fees have not been paid. Should any parents have difficulty with the payment of fees, they should contact the Bursar so that appropriate arrangements can be discussed.

Where School Fees were paid in advance at a rate below the published fee for the relevant term, an additional top-up payment will be charged and will be subject to VAT.

EXTRAS (All Extras are billed a Term in arrears)

* LAMDA for Years 1, 2, & 3 are curriculum subjects and considered part of the provision of education and are therefore subject to VAT at 20%. For Years 4, 5, & 6, LAMDA is optional and as a result is not subject to VAT.

** Ballet is a curriculum subject from Pre-school 2 until the end of year 3, after which it is automatically optional. Parents are advised to notify the school if their child will be continuing with Ballet after Year 3. Ballet is subject to VAT up to Year 3 as it is a curriculum subject. For Years 4, 5, & 6 Ballet is not a curriculum subject and is not subject to VAT.

***This charge covers a minimum of ten 30-minute lessons, however, owing to the varying length of terms, it may not be possible to achieve ten lessons per term. Any shortfall will be made up during longer terms. Lessons of less than 30 minutes or those in groups will be charged pro-rata and rounded. The school provides facilities and amenities to visiting music teachers without charge to facilitate your child learning an instrument.

Arrangements for music tuition is based on a contract between a family and the music teacher, requiring a term’s notice to terminate to be given by the family. While the school monitors price levels in line with the market rates, we do not set this fee.

A full term’s notice in writing, addressed to the specific Music Teacher (for music) or the Headmistress (for Ballet) must be given in the event of a pupil being withdrawn from Music and/or Ballet, otherwise, a full term’s Music and/or Ballet fees will be payable in lieu whenever a full term’s notice is not given.

Whilst we encourage children to follow extra subjects, please bear in mind the capacity of your child and be careful that you do not ask her to do so much that her curricular work is put at risk.

The school is a registered provider of Free Early Education (FEE) for 3- & 4-year-olds. All children from the school term following their 3rd birthday are eligible to receive a maximum of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks per year. However, parents can only claim 33 or 34 weeks at the Granville School, as that is the number of weeks in our school year. FEE at Granville School is delivered for a maximum of 3 hours per day. The Granville School only offers the 15 hours’ FEE.

*These are average rates based on 11 weeks per term (33 weeks per School year). A term could be shorter or longer than 11 weeks, creating a variation when your Termly invoice is compared to these averages.

Parents wishing to ONLY access the 15 hours Free Early Education will, subject to availability, be offered the following sessions:

Pre-School 1 8:30 am – 12:00 pm**

Pre-School 2 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm** (including lunch)

**Certain activities may not be included. Information and guidance on accessing funded fees are available from the Registrar.

Wrap Around Care (WAC)

Please note: Wrap Around Care fees are EXEMPT from VAT

These services are available to all pupils who attend Granville School and is booked on a weekly basis via our KidsClub platform. WAC is booked via our booking system KidsClubHQ but can also be booked on the odd occasion via a phone call or email (preferred) on the day. Charges can be paid by Card at time of booking on KidsClubHQ, be paid by vouchers to the School’s bank account (please advise secretary@granvilleschool.org when this is done, so we can update KidsClubHQ accordingly) or alternatively be added to the next Termly invoice
