Year 2 Pirate Day

4th October 24

On Thursday, Year 2 had a day of adventure on the high seas! After some poems and songs, we made our own pirate coins which we turned into necklaces. We then set off for music. On the way, we had to get past a terrible swamp which we needed teamwork to cross successfully. Luckily only a few of us sank. After creating our own ‘piratey’ tunes, we eventually made it to the galley for a hearty lunch. In the afternoon, we solved a trail of clues to find our very own treasure. After lots of digging, we happily divided up a box full of jewels and headed back to our ship for some games. Finally, exhausted, we set sail for home!
