It was a real pleasure to welcome pupils back to The Granville for the start of the new academic year.
Although staff had already returned for INSET, the school never feels quite the same until it is full of children again.
Mrs Lawrance led the first assembly of the year, talking to pupils about first-day nerves and the importance of kindness, reminding everyone that even someone who appears confident may still be feeling a little unsure inside.
While our younger pupils settled into their new classrooms and got to know their teachers, Mrs Williams and Miss Hipgrave led the older girls in our annual Wake Up and Shake Up, bringing plenty of energy to the start of the school year.
It was a lovely way to begin the new term and to welcome both returning pupils and new starters into the Granville community.
