MAYA ASSEMBLY

5th February 20

5SMs assembly was about how mighty the Ancient Maya were. Each girl told a fascinating fact about this group of people from Central America who lived from 2000BC to 1500AD.

Some surprises were that the Maya flavoured their hot chocolate with chillies and played a complicated ball game called Pok-atok. Bad luck if you were on the losing team as you might be sacrificed at one of the huge stone temples that the Maya built in the rainforest! The girls also showed the amazing projects they have been working on; everything from a mini museum to a fashion show!

Well done, Class 5SM!
