On Monday 8th May, the Year 3 girls departed The Granville School at 9:20am for their exciting adventure to Blackland Farm. By 11am, our beds were made and we were off out for our first activity. With the sun shining, we excitedly tackled a range of team building activities; stacked crates to see who could climb the highest; and traversed the Indie Crossing.
We were lucky to enjoy three two-hour activities on the first day followed by a night hike through the fields and woodland.
We awoke to further sunshine on Tuesday and a hearty cooked breakfast. Our activities included orienteering, den building and rock scrambling. Our evening campfire saw different class members performing routines as part of a mini-talent show.
Wednesday was an early start: we were packed and out for our first activity at 9am. Two high-rope challenges – abseiling and Ninja – awaited.
It was a wonderful trip where all girls demonstrated fantastic behaviour and were a credit to The Granville School. They got stuck into everything from the activities to carrying ladders, washing up, cleaning the dining room after meals and making sure that the dormitory was tidy before leaving. Positive attitudes were abundant and it was the girls themselves who helped to make it a memorable residential. Very well done and thank you to all involved.
